Description:

Lexi was originally a stray, we think her birthday is probably around October 2006. She is Lab and probably part beagle. She is very healthy, but she dislocated her knee a year ago and had to have surgery. She had a very successful surgery in Ames and you would never know she had surgery. She is up to date on her shots, heart worm meds every month and flea treatment. She will stand and look out the windows for rabbits, ground hogs, squirrels, then run to the door to go out. She is smart, knows how to sit and will ring bells that are on the door to go outside. She considers cats more of a "snack" rather than companion so we will not place her in a home with cats. We are not certain how she will be with other dogs, they will have to meet in a neutral place (like a park). She is on the small side, weighs about 50 lbs. She is very energetic and loves to play and run so smaller children may get "run over". Lexi will need a fenced yard as she loves to be outside a lot. She will need some reminder obedience classes as she tends to jump up. She is smart and will be a quick study as long as the owner follows through with the obedience class homework. She may be a great dog for 4H obedience. Won't you please give Lexi her new home?
